This is the second character is the Chinese word for Plymouth (普利茅斯) and is a another useful one. Not only is it used phonetically in many words (such as Harry Potter 哈利 波特), it is quite often found in compounds.

You should take advantage of it.

  • 瀑布

    pùbù - waterfall

This is my first entry in ages as I've been busy moving and starting my new job. But today I learnt a new word, which inspired me to write about it.

Today John, Teresa and I went for a walk around Lydford gorge and saw the White Lady Waterfall (so called because legend has it that if you fall in the pool at the bottom, a white lady will appear and save you. Stupid legend). We also saw some very tame wild ponies on Dartmoor. All in all, a good day.
